I have never played any Dungeons and Dragons, but I took out the book just to understand how these games work.
Sure there were some plot holes and technical hiccups, but I say they delivered. A solid 4 / 5 stars from me.
As far as I read, there are a lot of mixed reviews out here. However here are a few Reddit "essays" which resonated with me.
Now that #StrangerThings is over, here's a toast to a series with a fine ending. With character arcs complete, evil warded off and the party makes it back to Shire, forever changed. The kids getting back to normalcy in their own ways, with a final game of D&D and the young adults parting ways with promises to stay in touch was a perfect way to say goodbye.
